On behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister’s Northern Futures project, on the 16th October the Cabinet Office’s Policy Lab are bringing people together for a new kind of debate about economic growth in the North.
The Open Ideas Days will see eight all day events running simultaneously in eight separate locations across the North, allowing experts and non-experts to come together to share ideas and develop solutions using a mixture of creative problem solving tools and design thinking methods. The Open Ideas Day aims to build on the ideas coming out of the online call for ideas generating new ideas that could also be shared at the Summit on the 6th of November.
There is space for around 20 people at each event. We are particularly seeking participation from people who are passionate about making positive change and are willing to bring an open mind to work with other people from across sectors, including:
- Designers, makers and creatives
- Regional development, city leads, Local Authority transformation and innovation leads
- Public sector workers, social enterprises and voluntary sector organisations
- Businesses and entrepreneurs
- Experts from the technology, innovation and digital communities
- Young people and students.
Places are very limited, and we will make our selection with the objective of drawing together people from as many different backgrounds as possible. If you are interested in attending, please register your details, and we will be in tuch to let you know whether you have been selected to attend the Open Ideas Day event.
If you are unable attend one of the Open Ideas Days but would still like to take part, you can share your ideas by tweeting @North_futures, or via the Northern Futures app at http://northernfutures.dialogue-app.com/
